Heading: Millard L. Leonhardt Dateline: Greer Millard L. Leonhardt, 77, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. A native of Union County, son of the late Thomas L. and Ethel Kingsmore Leonhardt, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of Peacetime and a retired employee of Michelin Tire. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a very devoted servant, member and former deacon of Victor Baptist Church. He will be remembered by his devoted wife of 56 years, Frances Cansler Leonhardt of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and April Leonhardt of Greer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Mike Gravley and Toni and Mike Arms all of Greer; a special daughter, Robin Leonhardt of Chesnee; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Frances A. Leonhardt of Greer; and a sister, Margaret Brannon of Greer. “Papa” was so proud of all of his grandchildren, Chris, Angela and Amy Leonhardt, Brad and Josh Arms, and step-grandchildren, Greg and Tony Hinson and Carla Summerall. Mr. Leonhardt was predeceased by a brother, Ed Leonhardt. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Victor Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery and Rev. Edgar Boles. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
