Heading: Herman O. Leonard (Veteran) Dateline: Reidville Herman Oneal Leonard, 82, formerly of Reidville, died February 3, 2010 at Skylyn Place. A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late William Carl and Ada Marie McKown Leonard, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing. Mr. Leonard was the former commissioner for Reidville Fire Department, a member of the Reidville Masonic Lodge, and a shriner. He was a member of Reidville Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Marinda and David Everette of Duncan; a brother, William Carl Leonard, Jr. of Spartanburg; two sisters, Doris Wilson of Spartanburg and Nancy Richter of Simpsonville; and a granddaughter, Ashley Everette. Mr. Leonard was predeceased by three brothers, Gerald, Forrest, and Calvin Leonard. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Reidville Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. E. Todd Buchner. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. The family is at the home of his daughter, Marinda Everette, 224 River Falls Drive, Duncan. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29307.
