Heading: Rev. Perry E. Poole (Veteran) Dateline: Greer Rev. Perry Edmond Poole, 83, of 100 Four Meadows Lane, went home to be with the Lord February 2, 2010 at his residence. A native of Greenville County, son of the late William Perry and Lillie Mae Smith Poole, he was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and Kamikaze survivor on the USS Bunker Hill Aircraft Carrier. He was a retired Pastor from Providence Baptist Church and was a member of Victor Baptist Church where he was Pastor Emeritus. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Williams Poole of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Perry Edmond Poole, Jr. and wife, Mickey of Orlando, FL., Joe and Sandy Poole and Mark and Julie Poole all of Greenville; a daughter, Bonnie and husband, John Wesley of Greenville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Joyce Poole of Greenwood and Randall and Millie Poole of Clemson; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Victor Baptist Church in Greer conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery. Burial will follow in Grand View Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary in Greer. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victor Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
