Alton William Bowers, 81, died January 31, 2010.
A native of Hart County, GA, son of the late Gordon and Pearl Fleming Bowers, he was a retired employee of City of Greer and a member of Victor Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Herschel Bowers of Greenwood; two sisters, Ruby Hammond of Easley and Frances Bryant of Bowman, GA; one grandson, Craig Moten of Kings Mountain, N.C. and two great-grandchildren, Bianca and Kiera Moten of Kings Mountain, NC.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
