Mary Recil Black Foster, 86, of 302 Brockway Lane, died January 31, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Alexander City, Alabama, daughter of the late Jesse L. and Mamie Lee Starnes Black, she was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and Union Carbide and a member of Praise Cathedral. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Ralph McNeil Foster, who passed away on December 28, 2009.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Cathy Foster of Gastonia, N.C. and Jess and April Foster of La Canada, CA; four grandchildren, Leigh Myers, Blair Foster, Alanna Foster, and Lindsey Booth; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Bobby Johnson and Dr. Drew Hines. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.
The families are at their respective homes.
