Herman O’Neal Blume, 93, formerly of 108 Elberta Street, widower of Ruth Godfrey Blume, died December 29, 2009 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
A native of Richland County, son of the late John Christopher and Mary Sligh Blume, he was a retired U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Anne and Bobby Corley, Sr. of Inman; a step-daughter, Lou Ann Collins of Greenville; and a step-granddaughter, Pam Smith.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Howard Smith. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary.
