Kenneth Greene Smith, 87, of 123 Connecticut Avenue, died November 22, 2009 at his home.
A native of Greenville, son of the late Greene Lee and Elsie Pittman Smith, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a retired carpenter and a member of Pelham First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Cox Smith of the home; two sons, Keith R. Smith (Donna) of Greer and K. Daryl Smith (Sara) of Gaffney; three daughters, Kerry Bonniville (Tony) of Decaturville, TN, K. Vicki McMakin (Sammie) of Greer, and Kathy McGee (John III) of Wesley Chapel, FL; a brother, Hugh Smith (Betty) of Greer; two sisters, Maebell Burrell of Greer and Angie Gouldsmith of N. Charleston; six grandsons, six granddaughters, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Gary Rogers and Rev. Keith Kelly.
Visitation will be held after the service at The Wood Mortuary.
