Florence Harbin Bruce, 85, of 312 Waymon Drive, widow of Homer L. “Jiggs” Bruce, died November 3, 2009 at Greer Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late Arthur and Eddie Hughes Harbin, she was a retired legal assistant for Eddie R. Harbin, Attorney, and a member of Faith Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Lila Bruce, of Greer; a daughter, Patti Bruce of Campobello; a brother, Eddie R. Harbin of Greenville; a sister, Faythe Harbin Tenney of Greer; two grandchildren, Julie and her husband Phil Upton and Neil and his wife Jessica Bruce and a great-grandson, Maddox Upton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Drew Hines. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of the son, Hugh Bruce, 402 Wayman Drive, Greer, S.C. 29651.
