Fred (Pops) Lionel Bennett, 59, of 3130 Highway 414, died September 18, 2009.
A native of Beaufort County, S.C., son of Eddie Lionel and Ruby C. Bennett, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, a former employee of Sagittarius Mold, and of the Baptist faith.
Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Andy Cruickshank of Atlanta, Georgia; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Sheena Bennett of Taylors; two brothers, Chris Bennett of Travelers Rest and Paul Bennett of Walterboro; a sister, Beth Bridge of Walterboro; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. James Julian.
Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of his son, Barry Bennett, 3130 Highway 414, Taylors.
